Hedong: Pave rural happy road

Villagers in Xinghu village, Tanghe town, Hedong district, Linyi city, recently organized a ceremony to celebrate their newly paved road. Villager Zhang Hongxing expressed his joy, saying, "The road is built so well. I came here specifically for the unveiling today, hoping our village continues to improve."

Previously, the village faced poor road conditions, with dust on sunny days and mud when it rained. To address these issues, the village has been raising funds since April to make life easier for its residents. Local officer Wang Youshi said, "We have paved nearly 20,000 square meters of cement road, allowing almost every household to step out onto the new road."

During the construction, community members worked rain or shine to contribute labor to the project. In recent years, Hedong district has been extra committed to improving living conditions, and seven villages like Tanghe town have been recognized as provincial rural vitalization demonstration sites.

After about three weeks of work, the new cement road looks great and is ready to provide access to villagers' homes. (Edited by Lin Li)
