Liu's "Magical Red Sorghum" series will be featured at the 2024 Venice Biennale in early November. This follows his participation in the 2017 Documenta in Kassel and an invitation to the 36th São Paulo Biennial in 2025, positioning him to potentially become the first Chinese artist to achieve a "grand slam" at three of the biggest art exhibitions in the world!
