On the autumn equinox, known as Qiufen on the Chinese lunar calendar, Guanxian county in Liaocheng, Shandong province, invited a group of expats to enjoy the bumper harvest season, and explore the county's lingzhi (glossy ganoderma) culture.
The autumn equinox, one of the 24 solar terms in traditional Chinese culture, is when crops ripen and harvest season begins. People celebrate the arrival of a bountiful harvest and express gratitude to the earth and the hard-working farmers.
