Specialized development fuels SMEs success in Weihai

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Zhangcun town, Huancui district, Weihai, Shandong, are accelerating their development through specialization, refinement, and innovation, becoming a powerful engine for driving high-quality development.

Since the end of last year, the company has introduced new boat models with lengths of 24, 28, and 38 meters, with the 38-meter model being the largest fiberglass recreational fishing boat in China. So far this year, 80 orders have been placed for the boat, 60 of which were completed and delivered in the first half of the year.

Despite a generally low demand in the industry this year, Weihai Xigang Yacht's order volume has doubled compared to last year. Its products are mainly sold to Hainan province and the Circum-Bohai Sea region, and have been well-received in the recreational fishing market.

How has this long-established Weihai fiberglass boat manufacturer managed to achieve such success? A company spokesperson attributed its success to a focus on its core business and pursuing a specialized development path.

Since its establishment, the company has been dedicated to the design, R&D, and manufacturing of fiberglass boats, continuously innovating to support its specialized development and improving production efficiency through refined management.

Each year, the company develops and reserves more than three new boat models and puts more than two new models into production.

Shandong Shuanglun, a major manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and complete sets of pumping equipment, has significantly improved its production efficiency, energy utilization, and product intelligence level in recent years.

The company has mastered a number of core technologies and is at the forefront of the industry, having obtained 29 national invention patents and participated in the formulation and revision of 20 national and industry standards.
