Shandong district spearheads reforms in project approval services

Kuiwen district in Weifang, Shandong province, has been reforming the approval system for construction projects. The district has been introducing innovative pre-service initiatives to boost the approval efficiency.

The first initiative involves implementing a "project manager" service. Tailored for key projects, the district has established a specialized service team to conduct pre-planning, providing comprehensive end-to-end services. Notably, this service emphasizes professionalism by integrating talents from diverse departments such as planning, housing construction, and electricity. Through direct interactions with enterprises, the team gains a thorough understanding of their needs.

The second initiative focuses on establishing a "pre-approval checklist" mechanism. Starting from the critical preparatory stages where enterprises require the most support, Kuiwen district has set up a systematic checklist around the key phases of "pre and post project establishment" and "pre and post construction commencement". By clearly outlining approval items, required materials, procedural elements, and detailed requirements, enterprises can navigate the approval process more efficiently.

Lastly, Kuiwen has undertaken reforms in service windows. On one hand, the district has designated a specialized window for project approvals. On the other hand, Kuiwen has enhanced the training of personnel at comprehensive service windows. By improving their capacity for unbiased and one-stop services, enterprises can benefit from seamless and efficient assistance. (Edited by Du Xiaping)
