Weihai powers ahead with big projects

Wego Group's ambitious project to establish a state-of-the-art, automated production base for high-performance infusion consumables is well underway. Once completed, this facility is set to become the largest and most intelligent of its kind in China.

Leveraging the robust technical research and development capabilities of Wego Group's national engineering research center, the project will achieve 100 percent automation throughout the entire production process, from front-end design and development to sterilization processes to back-end product traceability services.

By intelligently collecting and integrating data on raw material parameters, critical processes, and product testing, the project is expected to boost production efficiency by 33.8 percent and achieve near-perfect product yield.

This project is part of a broader trend in Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park, where medical devices, electronics, and new materials are the dominant industries and intelligent manufacturing is a key focus.

To date, 74.5 percent of the annual investment plan has been completed across 99 provincial and municipal key projects in the park, with a total investment of 35.4 billion yuan ($494 million). (Edited by Yang Yingxue)
