In looking for cooperation opportunities, a delegation from the cross-border e-commerce department of Russia's Omsk Logistics Center went to the Zhongqing International Logistics Industrial Park and the Jinshan Cross-border Online Shopping City in Qingyun county, Shandong province on Oct 7.
The delegation first visited the Zhongqing International Logistics Industrial Park. With a total investment of 520 million yuan ($73.59 million), this industrial park houses facilities of nearly 120,000 square meters across 247.8 mu (16.52 hectares) of land.
The park is a major provincial-level project that provides rural vitalization through logistics platforms such as network freight and data sharing. This effort aims to support Qingyun in establishing a regional logistics trading and distribution center and a logistics hub city.
A manager of the Omsk Logistics Center's cross-border e-commerce department who goes by Richard thought highly of the park's intelligentization, digitization, and green development and that it would be a valuable reference for the transformation of the Omsk Logistics Center. He also showed a keen interest during the subsequent visit to Jinshan Cross-border Online Shopping City.
“The project planned and constructed an e-commerce industry cluster area, and also attracted many large e-commerce platforms, which is a great development approach.”
Both sides gained inspirations through sharing insights on what they learned during the visit. Richard said that they would use this research experience to enhance their own core competencies in logistics and cross-border e-commerce in Omsk. (Edited by Li Weiwei)
