After White Dew, or bailu, the 15th solar term of the year, various places in Shandong have ushered in the busy autumn harvest season. The agricultural machinery department of Chengwu county in Heze has made full preparations to welcome the busy period, to address any deficiencies in a timely manner and to ensure the autumn harvest goes smoothly.
This year, the Jinmaisui agricultural machinery cooperative in Chengwu planted over 1,200 mu (80 hectares) of corn. In order to ensure a bountiful harvest and increased incomes in autumn, the cooperative has purchased the world's most advanced large-scale stem-ear dual-purpose corn harvester. This machine can not only harvest corn stalks, but also earn the cooperative nearly 100,000 yuan ($14,252) in additional income.
Agricultural machinery guarantee services are crucial for the agricultural production season. In recent years, Chengwu county has made use of existing agricultural machinery resources to establish a three-level agricultural machinery service network, with the county agricultural machinery department carrying out central coordination work, town repair service points complementing each other, and village-level feedback being offered.
