Starting with children's rideable toys, Qiyue has expanded its business to medical devices, clothing racks, and other daily necessities. It is now the largest toy car manufacturer in the areas north of the Yangtze River, with an annual production of 4 million units, 60 percent of which are exported to the US.
Qiyue has introduced over 100 new products annually, with R&D expenses exceeding 14 million yuan ($1.97 million) and a 30 percent increase in orders year-on-year. Qiyue is a pioneer in the industry by using advanced international welding robots and leading technology. The company also recruits top talent, establishing academic studios and student practice bases to drive technological innovation.
In Linqu, quality and efficiency upgrades by companies like Qiyue are injecting vitality into the city's economic development, and its industrial structure is being optimized through innovative breakthroughs by enterprises such as Shandong High Speed Rail Construction Equipment Co and Dadi (Shandong) Automotive Parts Co.
In recent years, Linqu has allocated 20 million yuan annually to support equipment updates and technological transformation. From January to July this year, the county's general public budget revenue reached 1.96 billion yuan, a 5.7 percent increase, ranking second among the city's 16 counties and cities, and constituting 73 percent of the budget.
