Shandong district advances development of happy communities
Dongshangyu community in Guangwen subdistrict of Kuiwen, Weifang, Shandong province, has been focusing on the people's aspirations for a better life, building a beautiful community, and improving the level of lower-level governance.
To address residents' needs, the Dongshangyu community offers leisure and entertainment facilities, as well as venues for mediation services. Four community members are stationed at the service center to ensure prompt responses to inquiries and to organize activities. To date, the center has hosted activities such as tea parties and crafts.
The Dongshangyu community also has "micro-classes" by local talents about teaching, innovating youth learning, and socializing methods. Additionally, the community has launched a children's book club as a public welfare initiative to instill reading habits, teach reading methods, and create life-long learners.

Moreover, in collaboration with express delivery and takeout stations, the community has innovatively initiated a rider-friendly community project to integrate new employment groups into the community and involve them in governance. The establishment of the "mini urban inn" mobilizes social organizations and charity institutions to offer free conveniences to sanitation workers, delivery drivers, and outdoor enthusiasts.
