Weifang county's aquaculture, orchards drive rural vitalization
Linqu in Weifang has been dedicated to fostering the growth of sturgeon aquaculture, grape cultivation, and persimmon cultivation, marking a proactive approach to rural vitalization.
Linqu's Laolongwan, located in Yeyuan sub-district, benefits from a year-round water temperature, ideal for cold-water fish like sturgeon. Plans are underway to construct a 1,200 square meter caviar processing workshop, aiming to reach an annual capacity of 100 metric tons.

In the grape industry, Yeyuan sub-district has established a consortium that unites agricultural experts, industry leaders, and growers, providing a comprehensive service chain from cultivation to sales, ensuring enhanced techniques, yields, quality, and sales, which in turn increases farmers' profits.

For persimmon cultivation, Linqu has developed an internet platform and equipped 3,333 hectares of cherry greenhouses with a cloud-based "smart brain" system. This technology integrates weather data, room temperature control, agricultural material services, and market price updates. In Yinshi village, the annual persimmon production exceeds 10 million kg, with 3.5 million kg of dried persimmons contributing to an annual output value of approximately 250 million yuan ($6.68 million).
