On Sept 9, a group of South Korean expats, including Justin-Choi, Moon SiiHyun, and Jinwoo Park, embarked on a cultural immersion trip to Shiliang town in Longkou, Yantai. The visit included tours of Longkou Jiabao Aquatic Product Co Ltd and a Longkou fensi (vermicelli made from bean starch) production facility.
The South Korean expats were impressed by the strength of Longkou's enterprises and witnessed firsthand the various advantages and achievements of Chinese companies.
Following their visit to Longkou Jiabao Aquatic Product, the group explored a gallery dedicated to the history of Longkou fensi. The gallery showcased traditional tools and equipment used in Longkou fensi production, providing a vivid portrayal of the ancient production process, transportation, sales, and daily life associated with this local specialty.
A skilled worker demonstrated the traditional process of making Longkou fensi, allowing the South Korean guests to observe each step of the process and even taste the dish freshly made. The smooth and chewy texture of the Longkou fensi left a lasting impression on them.
