Gaomi to boost its cultural tourism
Gaomi, a county-level city in Weifang, Shandong, is actively expanding its cultural tourism industry by leveraging its unique resources. The city is enhancing its tourism appeal through targeted promotions and the development of premium travel routes, steadily increasing the influence of its "Red Sorghum" brand and attracting more visitors.
A key attraction, the Red Sorghum Film Scenic Spot, offers a range of experiences centered around its red cultural theme. This year, the scenic spot has introduced an upgraded event that combines immersive content with modern technology. To date, the scenic spot has welcomed 450,000 visitors.

In addition, significant improvements have been made to tourism services at the scenic spot, including enhanced transportation, dining options, and guided tours. Marketing manager Cao Yu emphasized that the scenic spot is expected to maintain high quality and distinctive appeal while further refining its service standards.
Building on these advancements, Gaomi is now focusing on creating a comprehensive cultural tourism experience. By emphasizing the immersive attractions of Red Sorghum Town and red-themed educational opportunities, the city is developing premium travel routes that showcase these themes and link various scenic spots.
