Gaomi’s foreign trade surges ahead with impressive gains
Foreign trade continues to drive Gaomi's economic growth, with the city's import and export volume rising by 14.7 percent year-on-year to 10.75 billion yuan ($1.51 billion) in the first half of the year.
At Xingyu Safety Technology Group, production is at total capacity, with "Xingyu" brand gloves being shipped to over 100 countries. In the first half of 2024, the group's exports reached $130 million, with an annual target of $300 million.
"Our focus on technology and brand strategy has strengthened our market position. This year, we've aggressively expanded into emerging markets in Asia and the Americas," said Gao Huaxing, director of the company's strategic planning department.

Meanwhile, at GINHO Precision Manufacturing Co, high-end machine tools run full speed as workers produce engine parts. As a leading supplier to automakers in the European Union, the United States, Japan, and South Korea, the company exports to over 30 countries, including Germany, France, and Poland.
"Our exports topped $40 million in the first half of the year, with expected growth of more than 8 percent in the second half, aiming for $100 million in annual exports," said deputy general manager Wang Lianyong.
Gaomi city has actively supported businesses in expanding markets and securing orders, organizing over 20 trade fairs, securing 93 booths at the 135th Canton Fair, and leading the region in insuring 295 small enterprises through a provincial platform. Additionally, the city secured over 6.17 million yuan in provincial trade funds for local companies. (Edited by Lin Li)
