The Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park, located in Weihai, East China's Shandong province, has guided enterprises in the park to develop technology and products that help save energy and cut carbon emissions, making marked progress.
Shandong Lcarbo Energy Technology Co Ltd, based in the science park, is one example of this. This summer, Lcarbo has attracted visitors almost every day, showcasing precise heating products. "We provide precise heating solutions for the entire heating network, treating each building as a whole to guarantee consistent heating temperatures for every user. The company has also completed third-party energy-saving reports, showing a 23-percent energy saving potential annually," said Zhang Wenping, deputy general manager of Lcarbo.
After years of development, the company has established a precise measurement, analysis, control, and energy-saving heating system, becoming a one-stop service provider in the field of heating energy conservation.
Recognized for their outstanding performance in energy conservation and carbon reduction, Lcarbo's products have been listed in the 2024 Catalog of Recommended Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reducing Technologies and Equipment in the National Industrial and Information Technology Field.
"Through policy guidance and platform establishment, we actively encourage local companies to develop energy-saving and carbon-reducing products, promoting energy-saving and carbon-reducing technologies," said an official from the park's Economic Development Bureau.
The initiative to promote energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions is a comprehensive and long-term endeavor, the official said, adding that the science park will leverage the role of benchmark energy-saving technologies to guide companies in enhancing efficiency, reducing energy consumption, upgrading energy-saving products, improving energy utilization efficiency, and accelerating the pace of green transformation.
