The Administrative Approval Service Bureau of the Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park has recently introduced an innovative electronic lost license announcement service, aiming to reduce the burden on businesses and enhance their operational efficiency.
Previously, businesses in Weihai had to go through a cumbersome process when their licenses were lost. They needed to personally contact media outlets to publish a revocation notice at a cost of several hundred yuan. Afterward, they had to submit the original newspaper to the administrative approval department to apply for a replacement, which had a significant negative impact on the efficiency of government services.
To address this issue, the bureau has leveraged the existing website for electronic lost license announcements. This service covers 17 types of licenses, including publishing permits, educational permits, and public health permits.
Now, applicants just need to fill out a lost license application form at the government service hall window, and the entire process of publishing a lost license notice and replacing the lost license can be completed within the same day. This service saves applicants an average of 200 yuan ($28) per application.
The electronic lost license announcement not only has the same legal effect as a traditional newspaper announcement but also allows for the permanent storage of data, enabling businesses to access the announcement information anytime and anywhere. (Edited by Yang Yingxue)
