County in Shandong drives rural vitalization through industry

In recent years, Caoxian county in East China's Shandong province has been concentrating on industrial growth, expanding specialized agriculture, fostering new industries, and developing rural tourism and leisure farming. These efforts have boosted farmers' incomes and created a diversified industrial landscape.

In Sunzhuang village, Daji town, Caoxian county, e-commerce is a major focus for most residents. The village's clothing workshops and home-based production units run smoothly, creating a vibrant  and harmonious atmosphere. Of the village's 560 households, more than 480 are engaged in e-commerce, and nearly 100 companies have been established.

"Moving forward, we aim to transform Sunzhuang village into a vibrant rural area that supports employment, tourism, and quality living," said Sun Xueping, Party secretary of Daji town.

In Shuangmiao village, Guyingji town, Caoxian county, villagers have been encouraged to develop specialized agricultural industries. The village established an organic grape farm investment with over 5 million yuan ($701,194) in investment. The farm now boasts 14 grape greenhouses, producing over 140 tons of grapes annually and generating an output value of approximately 1.4 million yuan.

Caoxian county is advancing rural development through industry, enhancing agriculture, beautifying rural areas, and boosting farmers' incomes, all of which contribute to rural vitalization. (Edited by Zhang Ying)
