Cultivating cultural, recreational communities in Weifang
Linqu county in Weifang has been dedicated to building cultural communities that serve as hubs for leisure and cultural activities.
A prime example is the Huangshan community in Dongcheng sub-district, which organized over 90 events last year, such as reading sessions and village plays, attracting over 2,000 residents.

These cultural communities are equipped with multi-functional facilities such as libraries, gyms, table tennis rooms, chess and card rooms, and children's playgrounds, catering to the daily recreational needs of residents.
Furthermore, Linqu county has introduced a virtue and credit scoring system, outlining 51 positive scoring items in categories like legal compliance and family harmony, and 20 deduction items for violations and breaches of trust.

Scores are assigned and publicized for each household through village representative meetings and managed dynamically with a smart grid platform to increase the scoring system's effectiveness. Residents can redeem their points for practical rewards like oil and flour, incentivizing participation in community virtue-building activities.
