Shandong's county streamlines services for local businesses

The government service center of Caoxian county in East China's Shandong province has launched a "one-stop efficiency zone" to streamline services for local businesses and foster high-quality economic development.

Previously, hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) -related businesses, a specialty of the county, were required to complete nine registration and approval procedures. Applicants had to prepare nine sets of documents, fill out nine forms, visit eight offices to collect 32 documents, and wait up to 10 working days for approval, making the process time-consuming and labor-intensive.

This year, Caoxian has introduced innovative "one-stop hanfu business processing" and "one-stop forestry product processing" initiatives, tailored to local industry needs.

After optimization, applicants can submit a single set of materials and one form with 18 documents at the "one-stop efficiency zone" on the government service network. The staff members of the hanfu processing window will then coordinate with relevant departments, allowing permits to be issued within one working day. This reduces processing time by 90 percent, material requirements by 44 percent, and the number of forms to fill out by 88 percent.

Similarly, the forestry products processing initiative has achieved comparable efficiency, streamlining the permit process for these businesses. (Edited by Zhang Ying)
