Shandong's Chengwu devises new strategy to boost rural vitalization

Chengwu county in Heze, Shandong province, recently launched common wealth workshops in its Wenting sub-district to boost rural vitalization.

At the workshops, more than 10 small and micro-enterprises in industries such as electronic components processing, textiles and clothing, handicrafts, provide over 200 residents with the opportunity to earn money at their doorstep.

These workshops, which are spread across urban and rural areas, have transformed many idle rural workers into industrial workers without having to leave their hometowns, leading to increased employment and income.
