In recent years, the Zhuoshan community in Huanghua town, Zhucheng city, Shandong province, has leveraged the tourism appeal of the Great Wall of the ancient Qi state to attract skilled individuals from outside to invest in their hometown.
It also sought support from higher authorities and constructed a number of beautiful rural areas, forming the Zhuoshan cultural and tourism integration experience zone, characterized by a blend of cultural heritage sites, ecological sightseeing, and nostalgic village settings.
Meanwhile, the Zhuoshan community also established the Zhucheng Great Wall of the ancient Qi cultural research center, renovated and upgraded the Great Wall of the ancient Qi folk culture museum, published a series of books and organized a variety of folk cultural activities.
During the May Day holiday, the second Zhuoshan Great Wall of the ancient Qi folk culture festival was held locally, featuring unique tourism routes such as study tours and folk tours. The event attracted over 10,000 visitors and students.
Zhuoshan is exploring practical operational models and attracting professional design and operation teams to oversee the market-oriented operation of the integrated cultural and tourism development.
