Weifang's salt pans burst with color in summer

During the summer season, the salt pans of Weifang in Shandong province display a vivid array of colors: red, yellow, pink, and green, creating a natural palette that looks like a painting.

June and July are the peak months for the most beautiful and varied colors. These colors result from multiple factors, including metal ion oxidation, sediment deposition, microbial growth, and the angle of sunlight, all contributing to the diverse hues of the salt pans. (Edited by Lin Li)
