Linqing launched the first Yellow River Old Riverway Ancient Mulberry Garden Sanghuang Congress and the first Golden Ear (Linqing) Industry Conference on July 30, which ran for three days. More than 500 experts, researchers, and industry representatives came together to explore the cross-border development of Sanghuangporus sanghuang and golden ear.
Key highlights included the inauguration of the Shandong Province Yellow River Ancient Mulberry Garden Research Institute and the designation of the China Mycological Society Science and Technology Service Station.
Linqing's Sanghuangporus sanghuang industry, supported by a 2,500-mu (nearly 166.67 hectares) ancient mulberry grove, produces eight million Sanghuangporus sanghuang bags and 330 metric tons annually, accounting for over 70 percent of the national market.
Sanghuangporus sanghuang, known as "forest gold", has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years. Linqing's ancient mulberry trees, some over 1,200 years old, play a key role in the city's industry, which integrates cultivation, research, and sales. The city has developed a comprehensive industrial chain and established national standards for cultivation technology.
