After thorough research, it was determined that grasshopper farming involves minimal investment but has significant market demand, showcasing strong development potential. In May of this year, 3.33 hectares of land in the village were leased to expand the grasshopper farming industry.
Currently, 30 grasshopper breeding greenhouses have been established, staffed with technical experts for guidance and daily management. "Given the current scale, the project could generate an additional 300,000 yuan ($41,370) in annual income for the village," said Zhang Weihua, a local official. (Edited by Lin Li)
