A group of experts and scholars gathered to discuss the preservation of Mount Tai culture and explore the historical origins, cultural essence, and preservation efforts of the horizontal inscribed boards on Mount Tai at a seminar held in Beijing on July 19.

Cheng Fangyong, deputy editor-in-chief of the Chinese Local Chronicles, provided a professional evaluation on the compilation of local chronicles, stating that the book Taishan Mingbian had a well-chosen topic, comprehensive content, and balanced treatment of gains and losses, marking an important beginning for the study of the horizontal inscribed boards on Mount Tai. He also made insightful observations on the in-depth exploration of Mount Tai culture.

Professor Liu Ming, a master's supervisor at the School of Education of Minzu University of China, said that the book transcended the significance of historical materials and took on the essence of a specialized history of Mount Tai culture. The book uses the horizontal inscribed boards on the mountain as a thread to narrate the history of Mount Tai, showcasing a refined topic selection that highlights the aesthetic pursuit of excellent traditional Chinese culture.

Taishan Mingbian includes existing horizontal inscribed boards from the entire Mount Tai area and aims to create comprehensive, detailed, and thorough horizontal inscribed boards of Mount Tai.
