Yanggu beer festival delights with vibrant celebrations, culinary feasts

From July 12 to 22, the Shizilou night market in Yanggu county, Liaocheng, Shandong province, hosted a dynamic beer festival that brightened the summer nights. As night descended, the celebratory spirit surged as residents raised their glasses, reveled in shared laughter, and commemorated the event, establishing the beer festival as a standout summer event.
The 10-day festival aimed to stimulate the night economy and enhance nighttime experiences in Yanggu. It successfully drew substantial attendance, revitalized local commercial areas, and triggered heightened nighttime engagement. Attendees were treated to a variety of performances, including magic shows, singing, dancing, and enthralling Sichuan Opera, all contributing to an electrifying and engaging ambiance.

In addition to the beer and entertainment, the festival featured a special beer-drinking competition, granting daily winners a succulent roasted whole lamb. The event also offered a wide selection of culinary delights, such as spicy crayfish, grilled squid, roasted noodles, barbecues, and fresh fruit platters.
