International youth immerse themselves in Dezhou's rich culture

A group of young participants of the 2024 Global Youth Conference and China-US Youth Camp embarked on a cultural journey to Lingcheng district, Dezhou, East China's Shandong province, on July 15. The visit offered the international youth a deep dive into the region's rich cultural tapestry, leaving a lasting impression on the global visitors.
The delegation visited Wenboyuan, a historical site showcasing works by renowned Tang Dynasty calligrapher Yan Zhenqing (AD 709-784), and the Lingcheng Museum. At the museum, they explored a range of historical artifacts and art exhibits, gaining insight into the region's storied past.
In addition to museum tours, the youth engaged in hands-on experiences with traditional Chinese crafts. They practiced calligraphy, paper-cutting, and lacquer fan making, finding inspiration in the subtle hues of classical Chinese paintings, vibrant colors of lacquered fans, and intricate designs of paper-cuts.
This immersive tour provided the international youth with a deeper understanding of China's extensive history and the unique allure of its traditional crafts.
