Shandong's county ensures safety and development of nighttime economy
Since the beginning of this year, the urban management and law enforcement bureau in Caoxian county, East China's Shandong province, has worked hard to protect the local night markets, ensuring a favorable business environment and increased safety through dedicated service, meticulous management, and effective law enforcement.
As night falls, the Caocheng Night Market in the county comes alive with activity, booming with the laughter of visitors and calls from vendors. Market-goers can be seen dressed in hanfu, the traditional attire of the Han ethnic group, enjoying boat rides to admire the night scenery, and sampling local foods.

Efforts such as extensive inspection on gas safety have been made by the county's urban management and law enforcement bureau to maintain the order and safety at the market.
So far, more than 10 safety hazards have been identified, with six sites rectified promptly on-site. Three operators have been instructed to make necessary improvements within a set timeframe, effectively addressing safety concerns and raising awareness of safety precautions among merchants.
Meanwhile, the bureau has organized its officials to undertake 24-hour patrols and oversee the management of urban night markets. Staff members are deployed in shifts to maintain orderly pedestrian and vehicle flow, as well as manage stall operations, in order to uphold a clean, tidy, and well-organized urban environment at all times.
Moving forward, the Caoxian county urban management and law enforcement bureau will persist in soliciting input from the general public and implement multiple measures to enhance governance and service delivery. They will contribute to the county's high-quality economic development through effective urban management efforts. (Edited by Zhang Ying)
