Shandong district drives advancement of industrial economy

Kuiwen district of Weifang, Shandong, is actively promoting technology empowerment, encouraging innovation in technology services, supporting innovative entities, and increasing investment in research and development. It is advocating for new industrialization, developing new quality productive forces, and accelerating high-quality industrial economic growth.

Kuiwen district is tailoring measures to address challenges and ensure the smooth operation of all industrial enterprises above designated size, with an emphasis on key enterprises and industries. Five key intelligent manufacturing companies in Kuiwen have been selected to double their output value, laying a strong foundation for rapid industrial output growth. 

The output value of industrial enterprises in Kuiwen district above designated size increased by 15.2 percent year-on-year from January to May 2024, with a 10.2 percent increase in value added. 

Ten enterprises saw output value growth of over 20 percent, representing 31.3 percent of all industrial enterprises above designated size in the district. Kuiwen's industrial sector is both driving an accelerated transformation in green and low-carbon industries and fostering new productive forces. (Edited by Du Xiaping)
