Improved business climate boosts Gaomi's woodworking industry

The Gaomi Economic Development Zone in Weifang, Shandong, has implemented a three-year action plan to optimize its business environment and promote the high-quality development of the wood processing industry.

The local government has made strong efforts to create a better business climate for this important industry by implementing a wide range of favorable policies, aiming to pave the way for industrial transformation and upgrading. The local government has also provided assistance with regards to production and sales so that woodworking enterprises can enter a phase of high-quality development.

Meanwhile, wood processing enterprises have cooperated with the local government to pursue high-quality development.

"Our company has introduced the most advanced equipment and technologies to custom-build a complete set of intelligent production lines that best meet high-quality wood processing requirements. The market is continuously improving, with our order backlog fully booked. This year is expected to see further growth," said Liu Bijun, manager of a local furniture factory.

According to local authorities, the local government has been committed to earnestly addressing bottlenecks and challenges in the development of wood processing enterprises in a bid to propel the wood processing industry onto a path of high-quality development characterized by intensification, environmental friendliness, and sophistication.

"Next, we will implement a variety of supporting policies for enterprises at all levels, continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of our services, strive to create a favorable business environment, and support the innovative development of businesses," said Guo Xiaofen, deputy director of the local economic and trade development bureau.
