Weifang seeks growth through cooperation
Since the start of this year, the Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone has been increasing efforts to engage in foreign cooperation and trade, promoting international business expansion and accelerating the implementation of industrial projects, led by companies such as Rainbow Agro, Shandong Tianyi Chemical Co., Ltd and Sanvy.
Rainbow Agro recently started construction on a new factory in the Ezeiza Industrial Park in Argentina, which will be focused on producing high-end agricultural protection formulations. The factory is the company’s second in Argentina, boosting production capacity and ensuring steady growth across Argentina and Latin America.

“In Binhai, we have manufacturing bases in Shandong (Weifang and Qingdao) and Ningxia (Pingluo). Internationally, our operations include manufacturing bases in Argentina, Spain, and the United States, with over 100 subsidiaries worldwide, spanning across more than 100 countries and regions," said Liu Qian, director of the President's Office at Rainbow Agro.
Enterprises expanding abroad have seen fruitful results, while new projects are showing promise. The "China-Uruguay Double Park" project by Sanvy aims to establish beef cattle industry parks in Weifang, China, and Uruguay, integrating the full beef cattle industry chain domestically and internationally to foster mutual development.

"We are investing in Uruguay to establish ranches and breeding grounds, serving as the upstream of the global beef cattle industrial chain. In Weifang, we handle beef cattle introduction, breeding, promotion, deep processing, and sales, representing the downstream and market end of the global beef cattle industrial chain," said Jiang Jie, Technical R&D Center Manager of Sanvy.
“The region leverages coastal development and industrial advantages with improved investment incentives and an optimal business environment," stated Zhang Wenquan, director of the science, technology, business, and investment promotion bureau in Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone.
