In order to ensure food safety and further incentivize food production enterprises to fulfill their primary responsibility for food safety, the Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (Binzhou ETDZ) has conducted in-depth research within enterprises, continuously strengthened guidance services, and actively promoted the implementation of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety system. This ongoing effort aims to enhance the risk prevention and control capabilities of enterprises and promote the high-quality development of the food production industry.
The HACCP system aims to identify, assess, and control potential hazards such as microbiological, chemical, and physical risks in the food production process. By guarding against potential food safety risks, the system ensures food quality and safety, serving as an internationally recognized food safety assurance system.
In recent years, the Binzhou ETDZ has attached great importance to the development of the HACCP system, conducting thorough research within enterprises. Specifically addressing issues faced by small and micro-enterprises, such as limited scale and lower staff qualifications, the zone has introduced a "Small and Micro-Enterprise HACCP System Assistance Mechanism." Through initiatives such as organizing enterprise training sessions, tailoring assistance to enterprises, and establishing long-term mechanisms, the zone helps companies address certification-related challenges, embodying the concept of "solving real problems for enterprises" through practical actions. To date, two food production enterprises have obtained HACCP system certification and one enterprise is currently being helped along in the road to certification.
