Waste classification and disposal have, in recent times, become important issues in urban development.
The Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone (Binzhou ETDZ) in East China's Shandong province recently held an event to promote waste sorting in local communities.
At the event, staff members utilized animations and PPT presentations to explain where waste comes from, how to reduce waste, how to classify waste, and waste recycling through vivid and interesting images and examples. This approach provided children with a more intuitive and deep understanding of waste sorting, increasing their awareness of the value and usability of resources.
At the waste collection site in Yujia village, Shahe sub-district, staff introduced the situation of newly purchased rural waste collection and transportation equipment, as well as daily environmental sanitation inspection at the village level. They explained waste classification on-site and provided detailed explanations to villagers about the significance and purpose of waste classification, the categories of waste classification, correct disposal methods, and more. They also patiently answered questions raised by villagers.
Next, the zone will further strengthen the promotion of waste classification and increase the efficiency of waste classification work in the jurisdiction.
