Weihai is committed to revitalizing its old residential areas, aiming to enhance infrastructure, improve living environments, and strengthen property management. By the end of the year, 40 old communities will have undergone renovations, benefiting 19,000 households in urban areas.
For example, in Chengqu subdistrict, Rushan, Weihai, the transformation of sewage pipes, heating pipes, and drainage pipes is underway in an old residential area. Additionally, leisure, fitness, and entertainment facilities will be added, along with electric bicycle charging stations and express lockers, to enhance convenience and safety for residents.
Guided by a problem-oriented approach, Weihai has tailored its renovation plans to address specific issues and shortcomings, integrating design with people's livelihoods, grassroots governance, and people's aspirations for a better life. Embracing the principle of localization, the city is inviting homeowners to participate, soliciting public opinions, and has created a "demand list" to customize renovation schemes.
This initiative exemplifies Weihai's dedication to improving the well-being of its residents and creating vibrant, livable communities. (Edited by Yang Yingxue)
