Dezhou city streamlines retirement procedures

Wucheng county in Dezhou city – located in East China's Shandong province – has rolled out a series of innovative measures to streamline the retirement procedures of locals.

Since the start of the year, the county's bureau of human resources and social security has conducted a special action for centralized pre-examinations of enterprise employee archives, with accumulated reviews of over 5,600 files.

The pre-examination information will be uploaded to the Shan Dong Tong platform, so now each company can handle various online services for retired employees.

"Before, it was quite troublesome to handle retirement procedures for employees as we were faced with problems like inconsistent birth dates and ID card records," said Wang Zhongquan, head of the trade union at Gubeichun Group Co Ltd.

"It's great now that the archives are pre-reviewed as the item can be applied for in the company, with no need to run around," Wang added.

Moreover, flexible employees can also benefit from the simplified retirement process. Now they can handle retirement procedures only using their social security cards, with no need to prepare any support materials ahead. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
