Shandong county boosts services to disabled people
Dong'e county in Liaocheng city in East China's Shandong province has implemented a new initiative called "1 + N" to help integrate people with disabilities into society.
The initiative aims to streamline the process of obtaining a disabled person's certificate and access to various policies and benefits, which includes subsistence allowances, care subsidies, children's rehabilitation assistance and personal accident insurance.
The implementation of a new system in the county's maternity and childcare hospital network has proven to be a success, as disabled individuals there are now able to complete all the necessary processes at one time.
One beneficiary of the new system, Zhang Daokui, expressed his happiness and surprise at the convenience and speed. He was able to obtain his disabled person's card and access a variety of benefits, including care subsidies, within the one visit.
By integrating these services, disabled individuals can now access all necessary support in one place, eliminating the need for multiple trips and the associated difficulties they've previously faced.

In addition to this integrated approach, Dong'e county has also introduced an online and offline service model to cater to the diverse needs of disabled individuals.
They can now access services through online platforms or in person at various service windows across the county. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
