In 2022, the local government invested 3 million yuan ($411,585) to establish a 3,200 square-meter standardized production workshop, where Liu founded the garment factory to offer job opportunities to many unemployed women in the village.
To date, the factory has employed over 70 people and it is projected to create more than 200 jobs once it reaches full production capacity.
The factory processes materials for domestic clothing brands and offers personalized customizations. Additionally, it sells products directly through e-commerce platforms such as Douyin (TikTok), Kuaishou and Tmall.
Besides the Shandong Yueshi Garment Factory, Tianloucun village has attracted other businesses over the past few years to provide more employment opportunities, improve the standard of living of residents and incentivize them to aim for prosperity.
Local government officials said that in the past, locals were unable to take care of their families because they had to work away from home.
However, with the establishment of businesses and factories in the village, residents have achieved a balance between earning money and caring for their families.
This balance is crucial for stabilizing the quality of their lives and achieving common prosperity. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
