Farmers in Shandong's Tai'an city plant celery
Farmers in the Pengji sub-district in Dongping county – located in Tai'an city in East China's Shandong province – are nowadays very busy planting celery, with the coming of autumn marking the approach of the harvest period.
"Recently, we have been rushing to construct a greenhouse on schedule. Now it's been built, we'll quickly plant celery and expect a good harvest," said Meng Guanglun, a local official.
Pengji sub-district has carried out early deployment and planning and all its areas have prepared for the autumn planting.
Since the start of the year, Pengji has dedicated itself to upgrading its agricultural facilities and has established 7,000 mu (466.67 hectares) of greenhouses. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
