Enjoying summer ambience in Shandong's rural areas

With the weather recently failing to cool off, locals in Wucheng county – in Dezhou city in East China's Shandong province – have taken to spending their summer leisure time exploring the cool nooks and crannies of this picturesque and idyllic county.

On the endless lotus pond, lotus leaves can be seen everywhere and white lotus flowers festoon the water.

Kids pick lotus leaves and wear them on their heads, as well as fish for crayfish alongside the pond.

Young people take a walk on rural roads and have a pleasant time, looking for lotus seeds. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
