A group of expats from South Korea, Pakistan and other countries visited some cultural attractions along the Yellow River in Heze, Shandong province, on July 16.
One of the places they visited was Juancheng county, which lies in the alluvial plain of the Yellow River. The river flows through the county for 56 kilometers, creating a scenic landscape along the embankment.
They visited the county's Jiluyu Yellow River Water Conservancy Committee Memorial Exhibition Hall, which documents how important the Yellow River was in the lives of the Chinese in the past.
At the Juancheng Yellow River Legal and Culture Square, the expats learned about the rich and diverse aspects of the Yellow River culture, as well as the major national strategy for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin.
The foreign visitors were left amazed by the profound heritage and the magnificent scenery of the Yellow River, and expressed their admiration for China's achievements in protecting and developing the river. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
