Linqu County, located at the northern foot of Yimeng Mountain in East China's Shandong province, has emerged as the leading hub for the cultivation of canopy cherries, with an output value of over 3 billion yuan ($411.92 million).
The cherries produced in Linqu ripen early, are large in size and bright in color and have a sweet taste. Their sugar content can be as high as 30.8 grams per 100 grams. They are rich in vitamins and have high calcium, phosphorus and iron content. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
