While implementing the national strategies of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, Yanggu county has integrated the Yellow River, the Grand Canal, and its tourism sector together to create a new cultural tourism brand.
Significant preservation and display projects have been carried out for the World Cultural Heritage sites along the Yanggu section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The Chen's Residence, a historical site related to the Grand Canal, has been transformed into the Yanggu Canal Culture Exhibition Hall.
Innovative development has driven Yanggu to take advantage of the cultural tourism resources of the two rivers.
It actively promotes the construction of the Yellow River and Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Belt, facilitating the creative transformation and innovative development of the Yellow River and Grand Canal cultures.
With a focus on core cultural tourism projects, red tourism routes, and the development of county-level cultural resources, Yanggu county has launched various tourism routes that combine red culture with Yellow River or Grand Canal cultures. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
