Chinese acrobats shine at Dongchun Circus in South Korea
Performers from the Ningjin Acrobatic Troupe of Dezhou city – located in East China's Shandong province – recently showed off a dazzling array of movements while performing abroad.
The head-turning skills on public display included elaborate aerial silk maneuvers, straw hat tricks and jumping through hoops – and the action all took place at the Dongchun Circus, located in Daebu Island in the northwest part of South Korea.

The troupe has collaborated with the Dongchun Circus over the past few years, presenting over 600 performances annually at local scenic area theaters, festivals and variety shows.
Ningjin acrobatic art – included on China's list of national intangible cultural heritage – is characterized by "surprise, adventure, strangeness, beauty and novelty". It also features simplicity, roughness, softness and firmness.
The troupe has performed in a number of countries – including South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Thailand. It's been acclaimed by international audiences for its innovative artistic style and the team's exceptional performance skills. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
