The Lin'gang district of Weihai city – located in East China's Shandong province – has reportedly made significant progress in embracing the national vision of a digital China.

By introducing systems for data sharing audits and issuing detailed lists of various powers and responsibilities, as well as optimizing workflows, Lin'gang has streamlined its online services for both businesses and individuals.

In the education sector in particular, Lin'gang has developed an efficient platform for student enrollments. Parents can now register their kids online without the need to upload various lengthy documents, resulting in a significant increase in enrollment efficiency.

As a result, the enrollment period has been shortened from 30 days to just nine days, with an average registration time of only 10 minutes.

Additionally, data verification and validation have been boosted to ensure transparency and fairness in education enrollment. By cross-referencing data from various sources, officials have established a powerful education big data analysis model to support decision-making and efficient implementation.

Beyond education, Lin'gang has also expanded the use of electronic documents in its administrative services, including business licenses. This has enabled businesses to directly open bank accounts – streamlining procedures and enhancing overall efficiency.

Overall, the efforts are said to be driving the digital transformation of Lin'gang forwards – optimizing municipal government services and fostering a conducive educational environment, while also enhancing the ease of doing business for enterprises.

It's been widely said that by prioritizing data sharing and improved management, Lin'gang has set a positive example, contributing to the realization of a digital China. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
