Linyi city's willow-weaving products go global
Through many years' innovative development, Linshu county – located in Linyi city in East China's Shandong province – has benefited from the industrial development of its wickerwork sector.
A foreign trade export-oriented industrial system that integrates planting, processing and export has been formed in the county.
Linshu willow-weaving products are made by hand, and have been internationally recognized as green packaging and decorations. They can be used for storage, measurement, as decorations, and for many other uses in daily life.

Linshu county currently has a planting base of 100,000 mu (6,667 hectares) for Salix integra, a kind of willow, and is home to over 300 willow-weaving export processing enterprises with more than 100,000 people employed in this sector.
Linshu willow-weaving products now comprise 10 major categories and tens of thousands of color varieties.
The county's willow-weaving products and services are exported to more than 120 countries and regions such as Europe, America, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. In 2022, the output value of the county's willow-weaving sector reached 4 billion yuan ($558.12 million) and exports accounted for one-third of the national export volume. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
