By developing agriculture, animal husbandry, manufacturing and tourism, the county has paved the way for locals to achieve prosperity without leaving their hometowns.
It's doing so by implementing models such as building industries while preserving the natural environment, the joint development of three areas, as well as cultural tourism promotion and furthering tourism-driven agriculture.
In recent years, the county has utilized its high-quality soil and water resources and great environment to engage in large-scale planting, standardized production, brand-oriented marketing and industrial operations.
It has developed a high-quality and refined agricultural industry system and has made a name for itself with regional brands such as the Liuji Golden Pear, the Chenji Grape, the Yushan Watermelon and Daqiao Chives.
By focusing on the Yellow River carp industry, the county has strengthened its collaboration with major universities and research centers – improving breeding techniques, promoting healthy aquaculture and producing high-quality fish.
As a result, it has become the leading region for Yellow River carp farming, with an annual output value of 160 million yuan ($22.4 million).
To help local specialty agricultural products reach broader markets, the county has integrated e-commerce and cultural tourism resources, establishing rural e-commerce incubation bases. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
