"The current wholesale price is around 12-13 yuan ($1.67-1.81) per kilogram and the profit is satisfactory," said Zhang Bo, a farmer from Shuguang village in Dingtao.
"We can pick around 500-1,000 kilograms a day," he added.
The quality of Dingtao peaches has received widespread acclaim due to their excellent texture, high sweetness and plump size.
Fruit buyers are now actively engaged with using live streaming platforms, which is boosting sales. This sales model has turned Dingtao's yellow peaches into a highly sought-after delicacy on the internet.
In recent years, Dingtao district has actively promoted the development of "one village, one product" specialty planting, encouraging residents to cultivate more than 2,600 mu (173 hectares) of high-quality honey peaches.
The initiative has not only improved the incomes of residents by nearly 20 million yuan annually, but also significantly boosted the local economy through the cultivation of this wonderful fruit. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
