Homestay sector adds new economic vitality to Tai'an village
The thriving homestay industry has injected economic momentum into Tangfang village – which is located in Dongping county, Tai'an city, in East China's Jiangsu province.
In recent years, Tangfang has developed high-quality homestays as a key direction for expanding its rural leisure tourism.
One of them is Yiyuan courtyard, a camping house with folding tables, small strings of lights and an open air screen – offering an enchanting holiday paradise to young people.
To date, the homestay has received over 2,000 visits. It can generate a monthly income of 50,000 yuan ($6,964) during peak season and 10,000 yuan in the off-season.
The development of the homestay industry has helped the village increase its combined income by 178,000 yuan and provided employment for over 20 locals. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
