Shandong villagers reap sweet rewards from grape planting

The grape farmers in Hutun village, Linpu town, Juancheng county, Heze, East China's Shandong province, are currently busy preparing for a harvest.
According to one farmer, Shao Mingjun, the weather conditions have been good this year, and this means the yield will be good and the grapes will be sweeter.

Hutun village mainly grows new and improved varieties of grapes. The growers follow strict standards at every step of the cultivation process to ensure that the grapes are of high quality.
The grapes have a good reputation and demand in the market, and attract many tourists to pick them every year.
Grape planting has become a pillar industry in Hutun since 2016. To date, more than 70 greenhouses for grapes have sprouted in the village.
