During the event, participants discussed various topics, including the construction of a national cultural park on the Yellow River and the Grand Canal, as well as developing cultural tourism products and routes.
The need to protect cultural heritage and inheritance was also discussed.
Specifically, it was mooted that the protection should focus on consensus on cultural relics, registration mechanisms, laws and regulations.
Attendees highlighted the importance of integrating traditional culture with tourism. Experts suggested that close attention should be paid to the construction of the Yellow River and Grand Canal National Cultural Park.
"The cultural tourism industry should expand its markets and prices while also guarding the root and soul of Chinese culture," said Gao Shunli, a researcher with the Tourism Research Center at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
